Conceived in 2000 and completed in June 2001, Singing Winds Playground has been a huge success. According to the Parks and Rec Department, it is the most popular playground in Kerrville. It's a great spot for birthday parties, family gatherings, school outings, and just getting outside to play.

The playground consists of separate play areas for 2 - 5 year olds and for 5 - 12 year olds.  The swings are plentiful, including a tire swing, a handicap-accessible swing and toddler swings. There are twirling elements, a balance beam, a sandbox, and a gravel pit with a “digger”.  A central pavilion provides a much needed resting spot for parents/grandparents.  There are many picnic tables and benches for seating.

A shade cover was added to the toddler play area in August 2004. The trees are still growing and will provide more shade in the future. We have a small area left for future improvements. It is our hope to add a climbing boulder to this already successful area.
