We
organized in July 2000 for the purpose of creating a
playground at
Singing Winds Park. In June
2001 that project was complete. It is now the most popular
playground in Kerrville and, according to the City of
Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department, the most used. |

In August 2004 we added a much needed shade cover for the
toddler area of
Singing
Winds. In January 2005 we received
permission from City Council for upgrades to
Elm Creek Park. Those
improvements were completed in June 2005.
Our most recent efforts have been aimed at bringing an open,
no-pay skate
park to Kerrville. The skate park is a long
awaited and almost necessary addition to our parks system.
We need to take the responsibility of providing kids with a
safe area in which to participate in this new, exciting,
increasingly popular sport.
Future sights are being
set on the development of a
Family Aquatic Center. It
will include: a lazy river for both younger and older
patrons to enjoy, a toddler play area with no standing
water, a multi-level splash pad, and towered slides or
downhill flumes for the thrill-seeking crowds.

Kerrville Playscape, Inc., and its
officers are dedicated to
Our Mission: For families to work together to improve
our community and provide our children with safe,
creative and inspiring environments in which to
play. These community areas will be unique play
areas for families to interact in the outdoor
setting. They will provide creative, physically
challenging play for all ages and be accessible to
all of the community. |
